Most tickets are amended to either "Failure to Register" which is not a moving violation, or "Defective Equipment". This is the kind of ticket you would get if you had a crack in your windsheild or no muffler on your car. Neither of these are reported to the Missouri Department of Revenue so there is no record of conviction, no points on your driver's license and this charge does not show up if police, insurance or employers run your driving record.
Your new charge comes with a different fine amount. Ever since the laws in Missouri changed most amendments are limited to a maximum fine of $225.00. Consequently, most tickets are amended for that full amount. However, some charges are not subject to that limit and might be more. Some are less. We will let you know the new amount. ,
We will send you a link to pay your new fine and court cost into our trust account. Once it clears that account, usually 10 days, we can use your money to pay your fines and costs to the Court.
Usually, we can appear in Court on your behalf, and you never have to go. If your plea agreement involves probatio,n you will likely need to appear in court with us to get that formalized.
Once the fines and costs are paid, your case is concluded and your record is clean.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that your driving record is permanent. Every moving violation traffic ticket you plead guilty to or simply pay goes on your driving record. The date of the ticket, the charge, and the points that were put on your license corresponding with the ticket will be visible on your driving record indefinitely, for anyone to see.
THE POINTS ON YOUR LICENSE ARE TEMPORARY, BUT THE CHARGES ON YOUR DRIVING RECORD ARE PERMANENT.
The reason you want to maintain a spotless driving record is so that you will always qualify for the lowest possible insurance rates.
Insurance companies routinely check your driving record each time you apply for or you renew your coverage, and some companies check more often than that. If you have charges on your record this will impact your future insurance rates, regardless of whether the points are still on your license, and your insurance company may even adjust your rates if new tickets go on your driving record.
There is currently a process of asking the Missouri Department of Revenue to remove certain old tickets from your record. The following is direct from their website, dor.mo.gov:
Missouri Department of Revenue
There are other factors that affect your insurance rates that you may have no control over, such as your age, the vehicle you drive, and where you live (high crime/high risk area), but you do have control over the charges that go on your driving record! There are also certain tickets that courts will be unwilling to amend, particularly speeding tickets for going 25 or more mph over the speed limit. It depends on the court, but you should always try!
All moving violation traffic ticket charges have a certain number of points associated with them. Tickets for the same charge but issued by different police departments may have different points associated with them. When you simply pay a moving violation traffic ticket, you are pleading guilty to the charge on the ticket. The charge will go on your driving record, and the points associated with that charge go on your license. Points can lead to a suspension. Some tickets come with enough points to be an automatic suspension if pleaded guilty to, like a DWI or driving while suspended.
The idea of points on your license if that is you accumulate too many points too quickly your license will be suspended. Here are the rules:
